Equipping Young Ugandans for Life Through Vocational Training

At Imani Milele Children, we believe every young person deserves more than hope for tomorrow — they deserve the skills and opportunity to build it.

This year, we are taking a major step toward that vision through the development of our new carpentry training workshop in Uganda — a place where young men and women will learn practical, income-generating skills in carpentry, furniture craftsmanship, epoxy finishing, and metal fabrication.

The building is underway. The vision is alive.

Now, we need to equip it.

Our goal is to raise $85,000 to place real tools into the hands of students who are eager to learn, work, and build a future for themselves and their families.

These funds will help purchase essential vocational equipment, including:

  • Table saws
  • Planers and sanders
  • Drills and hand tools
  • Welding equipment
  • Clamping tables and workstations
  • Saw horses and shelving systems
  • Safety gear and workshop essentials
  • And many other tools needed for hands-on training

This is more than a workshop.

It is an opportunity.

For many of these young people, vocational skills can mean the difference between unemployment and independence — between surviving and thriving. By learning practical trades, they will gain confidence, dignity, and the ability to provide for themselves, support their families, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Your gift, no matter the size, helps move us closer to opening a fully equipped workshop where lives can be transformed through skill, purpose, and opportunity.
