Abdu is an only child. Abdu’s father abandoned the mother during her pregnancy before Abdu’s birth. The mother then went back to stay with her mother, Abdu’s grandma. Abdu’s mother remarried and bore other 2 girls. Abdu stays with his mom, step-dad and step-siblings. His father’s whereabouts are unknown. Abdu’s mother is a subsistence farmer who grows crops like corn and beans basically for food. Abdu’s greatest challenge at school is the lack of school supplies and his tuition not being paid. Supporting Abdu in school through sponsorship will allow him receive an education and also provide him with daily meals at school.
