Andrew is the fifth born in his family. He has four brothers and four sisters. He lives with both his parents in a grass thatched house in Gulu, the Northern part of Uganda. Andrew walks about 3 miles to school leaving home at 6:00 AM. Andrew’s parents grow a few crops such as cassava, potatoes, beans and corn for food at home. Prolonged droughts have always affected their crops and left many communities starving. Andrew’s parents can’t provide for most of their children’s basic needs. They find it most difficult to pay for their children’s tuition. It’s only through your love and support that Andrew can attend school to reach his goal of being a teacher.
