Arthur lost his father at an early age. He is the third born of two boys and one girl. Authur lives with his grandmother because the mother took him there when failed to provide for him. Before he was sponsored under Imani Milele, Arthur missed school because the grandmother couldn't provide the tuition and school supplies which are a requirement for one to attend school.
