Christopher is the eighth born of the six boys and six girls in his family. His family stays in Western Uganda with no access to safe, clean water or good medication. His parents are not only poor but also too old and weak to do any heavy work like working in the garden which is their only source of income. Their garden crops earn very little income to provide for the family's basic needs like clothing, laundry soap and salt. Christopher’s desire to obtain an education has always kept him in school. He walks about 7 miles to school daily but sometimes misses school when his parents fail to pay for his tuition and required school supplies.
