Denis is the first born of two boys remaining in his family. The youngest child died. Denis lost his father and mother to AIDS in 2010 and 2013 respectively. He and his brother, Eric now live with their uncle. They stay in Northern Uganda in an area that has been in tribal war for many years. They have no access to most of life’s needs. When able to attend, Denis and his brother Eric walk about 5 miles to school. He wakes up early to start his journey by 6:00AM in order to reach school on time. He loves school passionately because he knows education is his only way to a brighter future. The lack of tuition, however, interrupts his ability to regularly attend. Denis is a hard worker and with your support, he will be able to reach is goal of becoming a doctor.
