Derrick lives a life of poverty with his 3 brothers and 5 sisters. He lives with his parents who are peasant farmers. They grow cassava and sim sim to feed their family. They live in a small home having no access to clean water or good medication. They live in the northern part of Uganda which is mostly affected by too much sun. During the dry season, they are unable to grow enough food to feed their children.  The parents’ biggest challenge is paying tuition for their son. Derrick is very interested in learning all he can when is able to attend class. He enjoys studying English which is his best subject. He has a dream of becoming a teacher.   With your sponsorship you will be able to help Derrick reach his goal.
