Doreen is the 4^th born in a family of 3 girls and 3 boys. Her siblings and their mother stay with their maternal grandmother who is a peasant farmer. The grandmother also takes care of 4 other grandchildren. Doreen’s parents separated as a result of their father’s addiction to alcohol and failing to provide for the family. The mother is unemployed and struggles to meet the needs of her children more especially tuition, medical care, clothing and food. Doreen walks a distance of 5 miles to school when she is able to attend.  Many times she is unable to go to school due to unpaid tuition and school fees.  With your sponsorship, she will be able to regularly attend school and reach her goal of becoming a Doctor.
