Erushama is the last born of seven boys and one girl. He and his siblings live with their mother who is a peasant. Their father passed away when Erushama was about six years old. The single mother struggles so much in paying for the needs of all the children especially education, medical care, clothing and food. She also does odd jobs like working other people's gardens to raise some money. Erushama is a strong hard working boy who loves school.  If given the chance to stay in school, Erushama will achieve the hope of a better future for his family and himself.
