Fatuma lives with her parents in a one roomed house in one of the suburbs of Kampala. Her father is employed as a laborer while the mother is a housewife. She has 2 brothers, no sister and Fatuma takes the 2^nd position in the family. Together with her siblings, walk close to 2 miles to school. Having both parents does not guarantee Fatuma of all her needs as she is often sent out of school due to lack of tuition. With tears rolling down, she narrates how sometimes they go to bed on empty stomachs. Her father tries very hard to provide, but still his efforts is in vain because of the little income he earns. Fatuma is a very smart girl in class despite the fact that she Is irregular in attendance. Her dream is to become an accountant. However, this may fail unless someone commits to support her through sponsorship.
