Gloria, the second born in her family has two brothers and one sister. She and her siblings stay with their mother. Her father’s severe pain in his chest forced him to go and stay with his parents. He is always bedridden and incapable of doing any work. The responsibility of providing for all the children’s necessities remained to the mother alone. She is a peasant who is hired by others to work their gardens on days they wouldn’t be able to do it themselves. She finds it very challenging to get regular work. Gloria’s mother is no different from other mothers, she does her very best to provide for her children. Her greatest challenge is feeding the children on a regular basis and paying for their tuition.
