Ian is the 5th born in a family of seven children; 3 boys and 4 girls. He stays with both his parents who are small scale farmers. They mainly grow corn and beans basically for food. This means that they hardly earn any income to meet the other needs of their children. When Ian and his siblings fall sick, it’s hard for them to get medication since the parents cannot afford it. They also find difficulty in providing clothes to them and pay for their tuition as well. It’s so surprising that Ian still hopes  to become a teacher in future.
