Ivan is the eighth born in his family of ten children comprising of eight boys and two girls. He lives with both parents who are peasants. Being unemployed, his parents grow a few crops like corn, sweet potatoes and beans on a small piece of land to feed the family. They have no access to clean water and good health care. His parents find a lot of difficulty providing for the needs of their children. Ivan is a bright boy who loves studying and socializing with fellow students. He has got a dream of becoming an architect. If given support, he will settle in class and perform well.
