Jovia is the second born of 1 boy and 1 girl in her family. She stays with both her parents and brother in a rented one-room house. Her dad rents a small piece of land, 3 miles away from home where he grows crops especially corn, beans, and cassava for both feeding and sale. He sells a portion of the harvest to pay the landowner. Her mom also sells snacks by the roadside. The parents work hard to provide for their children’s needs but they often fail because their income is very low.
