Joyce is the second born in a family of 5 children; 3 boys and 2 girls. She lost her father at an early age. Joyce grew up with her extremely poor mother, who struggled hard to support the family. Meeting the basic needs of the children such as tuition, medical care, clothing and food was nearly impossible for this mother. Imani Milele Children became aware of her family situation and rescued Joyce when she was in the first grade. Joyce toured the US in 2013 with the Imani Milele Choir. Through her skill in music, she was an active representative to the plight of Uganda’s orphaned and vulnerable children. Joyce is now a happy and ambitious girl who looks forward to being a lawyer when she completes college. Now that Joyce has entered college, she needs more support with her education.
