Marvin’s father died in an accident in 2009.  He and his younger sister remained with their mother who eventually got married to another man.  The mother is a peasant who only manages to provide food for her children.  What’s so amazing about Marvin is the care he has for all his younger siblings including those of his step-father.  When he manages to get anything, he shares it with them all.  That shows how responsible he will be when he grows up.  If he manages to go to school and complete, he can raise his siblings.
