There are two girls and one boy in Matia’s family and he is the second born.  The parents’ only job is growing food crops to feed the family. It’s majorly the father who does most of the garden work because the mother has to maintain the home.  After the harvest, there’s always no surplus food left for them to sell and earn some money. The parents are too poor to pay tuition for their children.  Matia’s future is at risk because he misses school on several occasions due to his parents’ failure to pay for his tuition and provide him with school requirements.  Supporting Matia’s education is the greatest gift he will ever receive.
