My younger brother and I live with our parents in the village of Kamusenene, Kassanda District in Central Uganda. They are both casual laborers. When they can afford it, they rent a small piece of land for crop growing. Due to low soil fertility, their harvest is usually small hence a small income. My parents struggle to provide for the family’s needs, especially paying for our tuition. At school, I am known for my excellent performance.
