Ramathan stays with his old grandmother in a small mud and bamboo house.  His parents abandoned him due to extreme poverty and his loving grandmother took him in.   Ramathan has a visual and other health related issues with hinder his normal way of life as a child.  This has greatly been a challenge to his loving grandmother in terms of medical bills coupled with other expenses like school requirements and tuition.  His parents don’t give him any form of assistance but the entire load is on the grandmother.  When asked of his lifetime dream, he smiles and answers ‘farmer’.  He relates this to the situation he undergoes of missing some meals some days.  So he wants to produce enough food so he gives other children who may be lacking.
