Scovia is the first and only girl in her family.  She has three brothers and she stays with both her parents.  Her father earns his money from riding people on his motorcycle.  Being a remote area, most of the people walk even when it comes to long distances.  His income isn’t regular and when he succeeds on earning any money, it is always little.  Her mother is a house wife who grows a few crops like corn and beans mainly for food.  It’s about 8 miles from Kassanda center to Scovia’s home so they have to move all that long distance every school day.  When it rains, she either reaches school very late or never goes to school that day.  Despite all challenges, Scovia is so much determined to study and achieve her dreams.  In the picture are Scovia, her father, brothers and little cousin.
