I am an only child. When my parents separated, they both left me under the care of my grandmother. My grandmother is a peasant who grows a few crops in her garden for food. Having no regular in-come, she is incapable of providing for most of my basic needs. Ima-ni Milele rescued me and put me in the children’s home at my school.
