Sharon, the fourth born of the eight children in her family has four sisters and three brothers. She stays with both her parents in a small house comprised of 3 rooms. The parents don’t have any stable jobs but rather rely on poultry keeping to sustain the entire family. The birds are sometimes attacked by diseases and they end up dying. This motivates them to work harder in order to provide for their children’s necessities. They manage to provide at least a meal a day for their children. They find most difficulty in paying for the children’s tuition and their school supplies. Despite the challenges, Sharon is a very hardworking girl who has so much interest in attaining education.
