Welbon is the 2^nd born having two brothers and one sister. His family lives a very poor life in a very remote and poor community of Lagutu (Gulu district) in the Northern part of Uganda. They are peasant farmers who grow beans and peas on which they feed their children. Both the parents and their children all sleep in a single roomed hut. Welbon shares the same beddings (worn out clothes laid on the dirt floor) with his two brothers and one sister. The dad can’t afford to pay tuition for their children or provide the basic needs of their children yet Welbon loves going to school and does well in class. Despite the fact that he walks a long distance, he really shows much interest in attending school. He walks bare feet to school. He’s a humble boy capable of performing well in school if his education is supported.
