My father abandoned the family when I was 9 months old. My mother took my sisters and I to live with my grandmother. When I turned 3 years old, my mother decided to take me to St Mbuga School where she is employed as the school cook.  My sisters remained with our grandmother. Although I live with my mother in school, her earnings are not enough top-up on my school fees because she has to send money to my grandmother to support my sisters.
