Claire is one of three children in her family. She has two sisters. Claire’s father was killed by a speeding vehicle while crossing the road leaving Claire and her siblings with their mother. Their mother remarried and had another child; however, she is now separated from her husband. She has taken the children to live with Claire’s grandma. Claire lacks basic needs such as food, clothing and adequate sleeping conditions.  She would like to attend school and become a teacher, but she often lacks tuition and school supplies.
