Davis stays with both parents who are subsistence farmers.  They grow cassava, beans and maize on which their children feed.  Davis, the third born, his 1 brother and 2 sisters share the same room with their parents in a very small house.  They also share the same beddings. Davis’ father has another wife who has other children.  Due to the many kids, the father ignores his responsibility of providing for the children especially taking them to school and providing them with school supplies.  This leads to Davis’ irregularity at school hence his academic performance.  He loves school and he dreams of becoming a doctor but his dream may all be in vain if his education isn’t supported.
