Denis is the 3rd born in a family of 2 brothers and 1 sister. His family lives a very poor life in a very remote and poor community in northern Uganda. The whole family sleeps in a very small single-roomed hut. Denis shares the same sleeping space (on the dirt floor) with his siblings. The father cannot support the family. Inspite of the long distances he walks to school, he shows much interest in class and scores good grades. He has been walking bare feet to and from school for about 3 miles.
