Elijah is fifth born in a family of 3 boys and 3 girls. His family lives in a very rural community in Western Uganda. People in this area, including Elijah’s parents, are either unemployed or casual laborers. Their main occupation is to grow a few crops for food on small pieces of land that they either own or rent. Attaining an education, especially by the kids like Elijah, is the most effective way to transform his community. Young as he is, Elijah walks to school. Choosing to love and support Elijah in school will bring a great change in his life, his family, and his community.
